24 years of Thai cooking excellence

The Rice Barn Thai Cooking Farm Chiang Mai is the cooking school with the newest and cleanest facilities and an extensive selection of courses. We use high quality equipment and ingredients, with all courses instructed by professional, English-speaking instructors.

Rooted in Chiang Mai

Founded in 2000 as "The Master Thai Chef Cooking Course" by Chef Suriyan, our school has grown into The Rice Barn Thai Cooking Farm — combining Thai tradition with modern teaching methods. In 2024, we celebrated 24 years with a new place, new facilities, and an updated concept.

Located just a 15-minute drive from the center of Chiang Mai, our kitchen is scrupulously clean and situated on a quiet compound surrounded by our own lush herb and vegetable gardens. Every student enjoys a personal cooking station, complete with stove, chopping block, and utensils.
